One Desk, Every Stream

Where Specialty Alloy Scrap Gets Its True Value

High-value alloy scrap fails at one point: identification. A mixed container of Inconel 718, Monel fittings and stainless offcuts is priced at the worst plausible composition. The same material, segregated and XRF-verified, prices at its actual chemistry against world metal markets — a difference that regularly reaches 30-50%.

ABCOM is a trader and processor, not a broker. Grading happens inside our own facilities at the Singapore trading desk and the Turkish processing base, so the number we agree reflects verified composition and current mill demand — not a middleman's estimate.

The streams we buy fall into nine grade families below. Each links to a dedicated page with the grades we accept, the sources they come from and the grading process — start with the stream that matches your material, or send us photographs and lot details and we will route it for you.

Common Questions

Alloy Scrap Trading FAQ

What is superalloy scrap and what is it worth?

Superalloy scrap is nickel or cobalt-based alloy material recovered from turbines, chemical plant and aerospace service — Inconel 718, Hastelloy C276, Waspaloy and similar grades. Worth is set by verified chemistry and form: clean INCO 718 solids price far above mixed stainless. Serious buyers quote per lot after XRF verification, never as a flat per-kilo number.

Which alloys does ABCOM buy?

The full specialty alloy basket: Inconel 718 and 625, Hastelloy C276/C22, Waspaloy and Rene grades, Monel, pure nickel and Nichrome, tungsten heavy alloys, titanium and cobalt-based alloys, plus high-alloy stainless from process plant service. Grade pages on this site list the exact streams we accept.

Do you buy small quantities of alloy scrap?

Yes — from a single pallet to full decommissioning lots. Smaller volumes settle quickly at fixed price after inspection; larger or recurring streams can settle on assay after arrival with agreed deductions.

How is specialty alloy scrap priced?

Against the metals market: nickel-family material tracks LME nickel adjusted for exact chemistry, form and recovery cost, and cobalt-bearing grades add the cobalt component. Verification is what converts unknown metal into a priced commodity — XRF per lot, with spark OES confirmation where grades sit close together.

Do you buy scrap from outside Singapore?

Yes. ABCOM buys across Asia, India, the Gulf region and worldwide, with inspection, container supervision and full export documentation. Our Singapore trading desk and Turkish processing base sit directly on the trade routes into Asian and European mills.

Not Sure Which Stream Fits?

Send photographs, approximate weights and location — we identify the grade family and come back with an indication in the same week.
