One Engine, A Dozen Premium Alloys
A jet engine or industrial gas turbine is essentially a structured inventory of the world's most expensive metals. Disks and shafts arrive in Inconel 718. Hot-section hardware appears in Waspaloy and the Rene family. Combustor liners and exhaust hardware come in Hastelloy X. Vanes and blades span cobalt-based and single-crystal nickel grades, some carrying rhenium. Compressor sections contribute Ti-6Al-4V and other titanium alloys.
None of these grades tolerate casual handling. A tear-down lot sold "as mixed superalloy" prices at a fraction of its true worth — the value is unlocked only when every component is analysed and sorted into its verified grade. That separation is ABCOM's core competence, refined over 25 years of superalloy trading.
Our process: piece-by-piece XRF with spark OES confirmation, form classification, photographic documentation, and a composition report shared with the seller before settlement. Verified material then flows to re-melt programmes in Asia, Europe and the Americas through our Singapore and Turkish bases.

Turbine tear-down material is among the highest-value scrap streams in the metals business. A single engine or industrial turbine yields a mix of nickel superalloys with cobalt, molybdenum and rhenium content, plus titanium compressor components. What alloys are inside a jet engine?
A typical tear-down delivers Inconel 718 in disks and shafts, Waspaloy and Rene grades in hot-section hardware, Hastelloy X in combustors, cobalt-based vanes, single-crystal turbine blades, and Ti-6Al-4V compressor parts. Correctly separated, each grade sells at its own premium — blended, the lot loses most of its value.
How do you grade mixed turbine lots?
Piece by piece. Every component is analysed by XRF (with spark OES confirmation where needed), classified by alloy family and form, photographed and documented. Sellers receive the composition breakdown before settlement, so pricing is transparent at the component level, not a guessed average.
Do you buy whole engines or complete tear-down lots?
Yes. We purchase from MRO shops, airlines, dismantlers and industrial turbine operators — from single pallets of blades to complete engine tear-downs and power-generation rotor lots, with site inspection and container loading supervision available worldwide.
